I didn't do so well when it came to dinner tonight. After taking a long and very wonderful walk down the canal with my mom and girls, my oldest daughter, Loreli (17 months old) was starving so I gave her dinner. I had planned on making chicken but as usual I forgot to take it out of the freezer. We had a lunchable left over from our vacation that I chomped on quickly and topped off with a glass of fat free milk. After getting everyone fed I decided that it was too beautiful out to stay inside so I gathered a few toys and took the girls outside to our back yard. After playing around with bubbles and my toddler becoming soaked in soap, I decided to come in.
When we came in I made my baby a bottle and in the few seconds that took my toddler found my hidden chocolates. I came into the living room to find Loreli in my recliner covered from head to toe in chocolate! A quick bath and then a shower for me and I am now completely beat! I can definitely say that the girls and I will all sleep very well tonight!
When thinking about my weight loss goal I am feeling a little overwhelmed. Surely I am allowing myself sufficient time to lose the weight but I hope I am not biting off more than I can chew. During our walk today, my mother and I discussed all of the new things I am taking on. Not only do I want to lose all of this weight but I also have to make sure I am providing a happy and educational environment for my girls. I am also beginning classes through the New York Institute of Photography and starting my own business. Right now it seems a bit overwhelming that between baby bottles, changing diapers, dizzy dances, making meals, catching up with my husband and all of the other things going on that I will have to make time to exercise... but I think I can do it! As my mom says I need to establish some sort of routine and give that routine at least 4 weeks to really set in.
At the end of the day I had consumed 1220 calories exactly out of the 1200-1400 my diet allows. I think I will finish the night off with a few extra carrots and another glass of milk!
