So I am starting this weight loss blog and making it public for the world to see in hopes that having everyone know my exact weight and progress will motivate me to stay with the diet and working out. I'm the type of person that if I keep something to myself, like a diet, then I cheat, cheat, cheat, because no one knows! I certainly have all of the necessary resources to make it to my goal so there is NO excuse not to!
I am 25 years old and had two children 14 months apart and then a minor surgery shortly after my youngest daughter was born. Before becoming pregnant with my oldest daughter I gained 60 pounds in 3 months from the depo birth control shot. My pre-pregnancy weight was 208. At the end of my first pregnancy I weighed 258 and got down to 225. When I discovered that I was again pregnant I was sure to keep my weight gain under control this time. Being "obese" and pregnant, the doctor only wanted me to gain 15-20 pounds. At the end of my last pregnancy I weighed 250.
I am now 227 pounds and my goal weight is 150! That's 77 pounds and my deadline is June 1st, 2012 (373 days from today), when I will be a bridesmaid in my sister Marsha's wedding! I have a subscription to the "Jillian Michael's" diet which is much like weight watchers with logging and keeping track of what you eat, but also tells you exactly what to do for your work out!
Today, DAY ONE is a Monday which according to my diet plan is my "rest" day. I started the day out with cinammon oatmeal for breakfast and a bottle of water. For lunch I enjoyed a bottle of water, handful of carrots and a sandwich that consisted of whole wheat bread, a dab of dijon mustard, a slice of cheese and some lean turkey. I've yet to think of what I'll enjoy for dinner since today is my husband's day to work late and it will just be myself. Later I will measure myself in inches so that I can also track my weight loss by sizes!
WISH ME LUCK!
I will be with you all the way! I would challenge you to a race, but I don't think I could keep up with you. My dietician doesn't want me to go below 1400 calories a day. My only hope is more exercise.
ReplyDeleteYou are short on fruit and veggies for the day. How about a fruit salad for supper (mix some canned lite or fresh fruit with fat free salad dressing or fat free cool whip)? Or mix some veggies with cottage cheese?
I use cottage cheese as a base for all sorts of things. It is soothing to my stomach. I add applesauce & cinnamon, or tuna or whatever. I even added herring a few times.
Cottage cheese blended makes a good dip or a creamy dressing.
Thanks Grandma! I appreciate the encouragment! I also love cottage cheese! The Jillian Michaels plan has me eating 1200-1400 calories a day.
ReplyDeleteHi Corinne, You are amazing! I'll be paying attention for sure.
