Day 2

Last night I had a slight moment of weakness. At 10:30 pm my husband heated up some left over pizza and offered me a piece... and I caved! Temporary moment of weakness! This morning I woke up promising myself I would make up for it today!

I was completely exhausted after a night of getting up with the baby several times. I was already wanting to just pass out after so much fresh air and the motions of going to sleep, getting into deep sleep and then waking up over and over again left me feeling extremely weak this morning! I took it easy for the most part and decided not to take the girls out to the canal for a walk since storm clouds were coming and going. It never did end up actually raining. When Loreli went down for a nap, and Evalyn was already asleep, I quickly put on my tennis shoes and forced myself onto the treadmill. It was definitely not something I wanted to do but I knew I had to.

Once on the treadmill I had no particular goal in mind. I started out at 2.3 mph and decided that was too slow. Every 10 minutes I made the speed .1 mph faster until I got to 2.6 mph. After and hour I was literally dripping sweat and I can't honestly remember the last time that has happened besides giving birth! I felt absolutely wonderful and ready to take on the world! 1 hour of the treadmill and I had walked 2.45 miles! This may seem minimal to some but for me that's an accomplishment! Afterward I thought about how in a few months from now I will look back on today's blog and be so proud of myself because I know I will be doing much better!

Today's food consisted of oatmeal for breakfast, wheat thins, carrots and a turkey and cheese sandwich for lunch, pringles for snack and for dinner corn and a baked chicken breast with walnut and bread crumb crust topped off with a nice glass of fat free milk. My total calorie intake for today was 1248.
